Campaign Period
September 1 — December 31, 2025
Last Updated
September 11, 2025
Written is conducting a sales-based prize campaign offering cash rewards to authors based on book sales performance. This campaign includes two distinct reward categories:
1.1
Monthly Top Seller Reward: $1,000 USD awarded to the author who sells the most books in each calendar month.
1.2
Year-End Achievement Reward: $10,000 USD awarded to the author with the highest total cumulative book sales by December 31, 2025.
Important notice: This document constitutes a public offer. By participating in any sales activities on Written within this campaign, authors acknowledge and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions – accept this offer.
2.1
This campaign is open to all registered authors on the Written platform who maintain accounts in good standing.
2.2
Each participant must be represented by a single author account. The creation or use of multiple accounts by the same individual or entity to participate collectively in this campaign is strictly prohibited and may result in disqualification.
2.3
Authors may publish any type of content including but not limited to fiction, nonfiction, long-form, short-form, original works, experimental content, or works previously published elsewhere, provided that:
The content is the author's own original work or they have proper rights to publish it
The content complies with Written's content guidelines and terms of service (if applicable)
The content published before the campaign launch is eligible and counts toward campaign totals
2.4
Authors retain full rights to their work and may treat participation in this platform as an additional revenue stream alongside other publishing arrangements.
3.1
For the purposes of this campaign, a "sale" is defined as any successful paid transaction where a reader purchases an author's book through the Written platform.
3.2
All sales of books published under an author's Written account count toward their campaign totals, including:
First editions of any book
Updated or revised versions of previously published books
Any additional books published by the same author account
3.3
Sales must be legitimate paid transactions verified through on-chain transaction data. Free downloads, promotional giveaways, or any non-monetary transfers do not qualify as sales for campaign purposes.
3.4
Critical Exclusion - Resale Transactions: Secondary market transactions between readers do NOT count toward campaign totals. While resales may generate royalties for authors, only direct purchases from readers to authors through the Written platform count as qualifying sales for prize eligibility. This restriction ensures that rewards reflect genuine first-time reader acquisition rather than secondary market activity.
4.1
Monthly Top Seller Reward
4.1.1
At the conclusion of each calendar month, Written will calculate the total number of qualifying book sales for each author during that specific month.
4.1.2
The author with the highest number of sales in that calendar month will receive $1,000 USD.
4.1.3
Tie-Breaking Procedure: In the event that two or more authors achieve identical sales numbers in the same calendar month, the winner will be determined by timestamp analysis. The $1,000 prize will be awarded to the author who reached that sales number first, based on the precise timestamp of their final qualifying sale that achieved the tied number.
4.1.4
Monthly calculations are independent of cumulative totals and reset at the beginning of each calendar month.
4.2
Year-End Achievement Reward
4.2.1
The author with the highest total cumulative book sales by December 31, 2025, will receive $10,000 USD.
4.2.2
This total may be reached through sales of a single book, multiple different titles, or any combination thereof, provided all sales are attributed to the same author account.
4.2.3
All sales during the campaign period count toward the year-end total.
4.2.4
This is a one-time reward available exclusively to the author with the highest cumulative sales at campaign conclusion.
4.2.5
Tie-Breaking for Year-End Reward: If multiple authors finish 2025 with identical total sales, the $10,000 prize will be awarded to the author whose final counted sale was recorded first, determined by the precise timestamp of that specific transaction in Written's system.
4.2.6
The final winner will be determined and announced within 7 days after December 31, 2025, following complete sales verification.
5.1
All sales data is tracked and verified using on-chain transaction records maintained in Written's database system.
5.2
Monthly Reporting Process: At the conclusion of each calendar month, Written will:
Calculate total qualifying sales for each author during that month
Identify and announce the monthly top seller
Update and maintain public leaderboard information for the year-end $10,000 prize race
Process payments according to the timeline specified in Section 6
5.3
Authors can monitor their individual sales performance in real-time through their Written dashboard interface.
5.4
All timing determinations, including tie-breaking decisions, will be based exclusively on transaction timestamps as recorded in Written's blockchain and database systems.
5.5
Written reserves the right to audit and verify all sales data and may investigate any patterns or activities that appear suspicious or potentially violate these terms.
6.1
Payment Currency: All campaign rewards will be distributed in USDC (USD Coin), a cryptocurrency stablecoin pegged to the US Dollar.
6.2
Payment Destination: Rewards will be transferred to each author's designated Written wallet address as provided during account registration or subsequently updated through their account settings.
6.3
Prize Request Requirement: Winners must contact Written directly to request their prize. Please note that if no request is made, no payment will be processed.
6.4
Payment Timeline:
Monthly Rewards: Winners of the $1,000 monthly prize will receive payment within thirty (30) days after their request has been confirmed.
Year-End Reward: The $10,000 year-end achievement reward will be paid within thirty (30) days of verifying the final sales tally at the close of 2025 and confirming the winner's request.
6.5
Payment Process: Once requested, the prize will be transferred in USDC to the winner's Written wallet, from which funds can be withdrawn using any preferred payment method.
6.6

6.7
Address Accuracy Responsibility: Authors are solely responsible for maintaining accurate and accessible wallet address information. Written bears no liability for rewards sent to incorrect, outdated, or inaccessible wallet addresses provided by the author.

Such authors may benefit from publishing special editions, bonus content, exclusive material, or entirely new works specifically for the Written platform to maximize their campaign performance.
8.2
Author Size Inclusivity: This campaign is designed to accommodate authors of all audience sizes and follower counts. Authors with smaller existing audiences are specifically encouraged to participate, as the campaign structure rewards creative audience engagement strategies and is intended to discover emerging talent and innovative marketing approaches.
8.3
Content Flexibility: Authors may publish any type of content that complies with Written's guidelines, allowing for diverse creative expression and market positioning strategies.
9.1
Data Authority: All sales calculations, timing determinations, and eligibility decisions will be based exclusively on Written's on-chain transaction records and internal database systems.
